Sigma Nu brothers participated in the Global Down Syndrome Foundation’s 2017 ‘Be Beautiful, Be Yourself’ fashion show in Denver on November 11, 2017. The proceeds go to the Denver-based Global Down Syndrome Foundation and its mission of improving the lives of people with Down syndrome through research, medical care, education and advocacy.
The twelve brothers were the largest group of volunteer supporters for the event and escorted celebrities including Eva Longoria, Miss Colorado, Peyton Manning, Mario Lopez, Hilary Swank, Jamie Foxx and Queen Latifah. The success of the fashion show was partly due to the participation of the Sigma Nu Gamma Kappa brothers. The President of the Global Down Syndrome Foundation personally reached out to us and asked that we continue our participation with the foundation.
